You are making an impact
With fall in the air and students back in the full swing of another academic year, it is proving to be a very busy and productive semester. This semester provides us an opportunity to showcase our new on-campus stadium to engage alumni and friends of CSU on campus like never before, and for the College of Agricultural Sciences to set a record number of participants at our annual Ag Day BBQ. As I write this quarterly newsletter flying somewhere over Nevada, I am reminded of the impact that our faculty and staff have not only on our current students, but also on our alumni and friends throughout the country. Almost daily, I feel proud to hear a story about a College of Agricultural Sciences staff member lending an encouraging word or a professor providing research and/or assistance to our producers and industry partners.
With our College’s Annual Scholarship Brunch approaching on Saturday, Oct. 14th, I am once again reminded of the impact our donors make on the lives of our students, as often times it is through the support of scholarships that our students are able to attend Colorado State University. In your busy days of research, teaching, and service, or in our development shop, our focus on donor and alumni engagement and dollars raised, I encourage each of you to take time to reflect on the impact you are making. Our team has the privilege to hear each and every day the difference you all are making in our community…and it is truly transformational.
