Ag fundraising numbers are in
In another year of record support for Colorado State University’s College of Agricultural Sciences, nearly 2500 supporters contributed a total of more than $23.8 million to the college’s facilities, students, and academics.
“These gifts allow us to plan for academic programs, innovative physical infrastructure as well as provide support for students pursuing their dream of a college education,” said Ajay Menon, dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences. “These gifts and contributions will allow us to drive agricultural excellence for the next 10, 20, and even 50 years.”
Even more noteworthy, the college saw an increase in the number of large gifts, with five gifts of $1 million or more coming in this fiscal year. The College of Agricultural Sciences ranks 3rd among CSU’s eight colleges in FY 17 fundraising, a ranking that has seen significant gains in the last three years.
“We have a number of capital projects on the horizon, as well as a continued focus on student and faculty support, and it is our hope that we can connect additional donors to these priorities that will further demonstrate our global impact and advance the well-being of humans, plants and animals,” said Nick Lobejko, the college’s managing director of development.
Colorado State University is on a mission to raise $1 billion by 2020. The University is nearly 83% to that goal and the College of Agricultural Sciences is just over 90% towards its goal of $80 million of this comprehensive campaign.
